December 2022: Hoolebury Primary & Infant Department, Runaway Bay, St. Ann, Jamaica

For the past six years, The Hoolebury Primary & Infant Department has been faced with many challenges. -- Classrooms did not allow each student to have enough square feet of personal space because of tremendous growth. From the inception of the school in 2015 with an enrollment of 15 students, there are now 42 students and four teachers.--Bathrooms were not appropriate for the infant students' age and stage of development and parents often complained.--Most furniture were not age appropriate and were constantly damaged by termites, which also fed on the teaching and learning resources.

In December 2022, the school was provided with a self-contained building with modern bathroom facilities, office space, and kitchen facilities. Classes are now split, which facilitates one to one teacher student interaction. Words are not enough to thank Tree Branch Foundation for making their tangible contribution to our school. This contribution will assist the department to be Certified, achieving 100% in the Early Childhood Commission’s, Twelve (12) Standards of Operation, Management and Administration of the school.
